Positions at University of Oxford and University of Stirling

Summer 2025

International Summer School for Teens operates exclusive educational programmes for young people looking to enhance their learning through adventure and travel.

CELTA qualified English Language teacher required for morning classes at our Oxford and Stirling campuses. Your key responsibility will be to deliver our unique curriculum in an engaging and fun way for teenagers, helping them to improve all aspects of their English. We run several different levels of English class, so applicants can have experience teaching teenagers at either beginner, intermediate or advanced levels.

Enthusiasm and flexibility are essential to the role. We are keen to work with people who are passionate about their field and can present English language lessons through a variety of fun and diverse classes. The successful candidate may be asked on occasion to assist with non-classroom activities which may include working with other staff or meeting parents. As such, a professional, team-player mindset is essential. As part of their remit, ESL teachers will oversee placement tests and also write final reports for each of their students.

All staff must participate in a mandatory training session which will be scheduled prior to the start of summer school. Oxford and Stirling Positions Avavilable. 6 Weeks, Competitive salary. Part Time

Looking for experienced and enthusiastic member of staff to teach our Introduction to Law class. The position is well suited to a current Law Teacher as well as to a Law professional who has experience working with teenagers.

Students will be introduced to various legal areas including the basics of legal theory and their real-world application, international law, human rights and surveillance law, supply and demand, as well as different market structures and will cover subjects such as the different types of law, government intervention, international trade and market failure. Applicants should be able to demonstrate their experience in the above and display a passion for working with young people.

This class challenges students to think creatively and to express their ideas through a variety of mediums. Enthusiasm and flexibility are essential to the role. Enthusiastic Residential Summer Camp Managers required for prestigious international summer school based at the University of Oxford or University of Stirling. Applicant will be directly responsible for overseeing the welfare of all students (Aged 12 to 18), supervising a diverse team of staff and coordinating all activities both on campus and off campus.

You will be supported by a dedicated management team, teaching staff and residential staff. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar summer camp /school environment and be passionate about sports, arts, culture and education. Applicants should have excellent administrative skills as daily reports will be required. Proven communication skills are also essential as you will be working with various nationalities.

It is imperative that the residential manager promotes a responsible attitude at all times in relation to student safeguarding, welfare and supervision of staff. You will be expected to lead our team in a way which upholds ISSFT standards and policies.

If you enjoy meeting new people and are an excellent organiser, then this is the job for you. Other essentials are the ability to have fun and enjoy working with young people.

Please note that the residential manager is expected to offer full commitment to the job for the duration of the course. Working hours will be variable and shifts will often be long (typically 10 hours or more). Shifts will include early mornings, late nights and weekends.

Are you looking for an exciting role this summer that is both challenging and fun? If so, keep reading. The International Summer School for Teens is currently recruiting enthusiastic Head Counsellors who will lead a team of Camp Counsellors responsible for supervising international teenagers visiting the UK this summer. Applicants should be hard-working, organised, reliable and enjoy working with young people.

Your key remit will be to build a friendly rapport with our students, many of whom speak English as their second language. Your job is to ensure their safety and that they are experiencing the best of the UK at all times. On occasion you may have to deal with adverse behaviour, so experience working with teenagers is definitely advantageous. However, you will always be supported by an energetic team and ultimately your position is to be a good role model to the students, not to discipline them. In addition to student supervision you will help plan and run a range of sporting, creative and cultural activities for the students.
