Golf Elective In the Home of Golf

Overview

Our exclusive golf programme for teenagers offers the unique opportunity to play and train in St Andrews, the historic Home of Golf.

Open to all abilities, from complete beginners to advanced players, this elective combines world-class coaching with access to some of the most famous and inspiring golf courses in the world.

Students receive specialist tuition from PGA-accredited professionals, focusing on swing technique, short game, course management, and overall performance. For experienced players, coaching also includes personalised strategies to improve handicap and competitive play.

Set against the backdrop of Scotland’s legendary golf heritage, this course is more than just lessons—it’s an unforgettable chance for teenagers to develop their game, build confidence, and experience the traditions of golf where it all began.

At ISSFT, our golf summer schools for teenagers provide world-class coaching from PGA-qualified professionals who are renowned for their expertise in junior golf. Beginners are introduced to the game in a supportive environment, learning the fundamentals of grip, stance, alignment, and posture, alongside chipping, bunker play, etiquette, and the rules of golf. For intermediate and advanced players, our coaches deliver personalised instruction tailored to each student’s swing, skill level, and goals, with the aim of refining technique and reducing handicap. Lessons focus on swing improvement, short game mastery, distance control, and mental focus, ensuring every student leaves with a stronger game and greater confidence on the course.
