The Future Is Now: How AI Is Transforming Education - and How ISSFT Is Leading the Way

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is no longer something reserved for science fiction - it’s reshaping the way we live, learn, and work. From personalised learning platforms to university research and workplace innovation, AI is becoming an essential part of modern education.

At the International Summer School for Teens (ISSFT), we believe it’s vital that young people don’t just use AI - they understand it. That’s why we’ve embedded AI awareness and digital literacy across our academic and elective programmes, while also launching a dedicated course: AI & Computer Science.

AI in Today’s Classrooms

Schools and universities worldwide are exploring how to integrate AI into teaching - from adaptive learning systems that tailor lessons to each student’s pace, to tools that help teachers analyse progress and personalise feedback. But beyond technology, AI is transforming how students think: it encourages critical questioning, creativity, and ethical reflection about the role of machines in society.

ISSFT’s approach mirrors this educational shift. Our students explore AI both as a concept and as a practical skill - developing problem-solving abilities, data awareness, and digital confidence that will support them in any future pathway, from business to medicine to design.

Introducing: AI & Computer Science at ISSFT

New for our elective programme, the AI & Computer Science class offers a hands-on introduction to the technologies shaping the future.
Students learn how AI systems think, explore coding and algorithms, and discuss the real-world applications — from self-driving cars to medical diagnostics and creative industries.
More importantly, they consider the ethics, limitations, and human responsibilities that come with rapid technological change.

By the end of the course, students have a solid foundation in computational thinking and a clearer sense of how technology can be used positively — in education, innovation, and everyday life.

AI Across Every Subject

Artificial Intelligence doesn’t belong to one classroom. At ISSFT, we’re integrating AI learning across disciplines - in Global Leadership, students examine how automation shapes economies; in Entrepreneurship, they explore how AI fuels innovation; in English and Communication, they discuss digital identity and media.
This holistic approach helps teenagers see AI not as a distant technology, but as a dynamic force already influencing the world around them.

Preparing Students for the Future

Understanding AI is quickly becoming a vital skill for university and beyond. Students who can combine creativity with digital literacy will have a distinct advantage - not only in technical careers, but in any field where innovation and adaptability matter.

By introducing teenagers to these ideas early, ISSFT is helping them build both confidence and curiosity. They leave equipped to question, design, and contribute - ready to lead in a world where technology and humanity must work hand in hand.

At ISSFT, we’re proud to bring the future into focus - empowering students to explore Artificial Intelligence with purpose, responsibility, and imagination.
