The International Summer School for Teens (ISSFT) is proud to announce the launch of its brand-new Introduction to Medicine course — available for the first time at our prestigious Oxford campus in Summer 2026.

This exciting new addition to our academic programme is designed for international students aged 13–18 who are curious about the world of medicine, healthcare, and medical research. Combining hands-on science with immersive English-language learning, the Introduction to Medicine summer course offers a unique opportunity to experience life as a future doctor or medical innovator while studying in one of the world’s most inspiring university cities.

Across two transformative weeks, students will:

The highlight of the course is the Mock Hospital Challenge — a hands-on simulation where students work together to solve patient cases, make ethical decisions, and apply their new skills in a clinical-style setting. It’s an engaging experience that builds confidence, teamwork, and real-world problem-solving.

While discovering the science of medicine, students are fully immersed in an English-speaking academic environment, improving their fluency, pronunciation, and scientific vocabulary through discussion and collaborative learning.
