It has just been announced that Gleneagles will host the 2019 Solheim Cup.  The biennial women’s match-play event between Europe and the United States was last held in Scotland in 2000.

“This date will allow the 2019 Solheim Cup to be the highest profile golf event taking place in Europe and the US,” said Paul Bush, director of events at Visit Scotland.

Scotland was among 10 countries to bid for the event and was chosen ahead of Bro Hof Slott in Sweden.

Once again our ISSFT Advanced Golf students will have the opportunity to play the PGA Centenary course at Gleneagles which was also host of the 2014 Ryder Cup.
